"Short Term Psychotherapy" is a sourcebook for those counsellors or psychotherapists wishing to take a psychodynamic approach whilst working in a time limited framework. Alex Coren provides a comprehensive account of short-term psychodynamic work, both historical and current. He also gives an overview of time limited psychotherapies from other therapeutic traditions, indicating both their similarities and differences. Drawing on this work he presents a practical and approachable model of short-term therapy which develops current psychoanalytic thinking and practice.
