Anotace
This book has three main parts: a comprehensive description of the Old Irish verbal system in chapters 1-8 (pp. 1-88), a detailed re evaluation of the workings of ro and other markers of perfect or potential function in chapters 9 11 (pp. 89-161), and the only account of key innovatory features of the Middle Irish verbal system hitherto available in English in chapter 12 (pp. 163-239). The main change in the second edition is the addition of a previously lacking index of the individual Old and Middle Irish forms cited.
