In this volume, international experts assess the worldwide experience in treating precocious puberty and highlight major advances in research on the etiology of different forms of precocious puberty. The book features extensive reviews of the clinical data on treatment of gonadotropin-dependent precocious puberty with agonists of gonadotropin-releasing hormone. Other contributors describe effective therapies for two forms of precocious puberty that result from gonadotropin-independent mechanisms: McCune-Albright syndrome and familial male precocious puberty.
