MIŠÚN, Juraj. The fundamentals of management and their possible changes due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. České Budějovice: Vysoká škola evropských a regionálních studií, z.ú., 2023. 125 stran.
Pandemic. When people hear this word, memories come to the surface and many emotions are oftenexpressed. The last major crisis experienced by humanity was at the end of the first decade of the 21stcentury, in the form of the financial crisis that originated in the United States and spread to manycountries around the world. Since that crisis, humanity has enjoyed relatively good times of economicgrowth and stability, except for minor crises. Thanks to low interest rates, which are supposed to stimulategrowth, Europe has been able to enjoy a consumerist lifestyle and further focus on sustainabledevelopment and environmental protection. The Industrial Revolution 4.0, associated with conceptssuch as digitalization, automation and robotics, was a great opportunity, albeit a threat. However, for those who have already experienced the consequences of a major or minor crisis firsthand, the second half of the second decade of the 21st century has become a time of suspicion. Life isnot all about the way up. There is bound to be a way down, because crises are a normal part of life. Thus, several years after the financial crisis, the question was not whether there would be anothermajor crisis, but what it would look like and what would trigger it.
