There are 423 entries divided into five sections: `Women and Sex-Roles,' `Racial and Ethnic Minorities,' `Aging and Age-Roles,' `Sexual Behavior and Orientations,' and `Health and Handicaps'; each section is arranged alphabetically by author. Full bibliographic citation, information on the sampling on which the study was based, and an abstract of the findings are given for each entry. Material included is as recent as 1984, and goes back as far as `Marcus Welby,' if not earlier. The Introduction summarizes findings, describes trends, and draws conclusions. There are author and subject indexes....
