Anotace
This text is intended for participants on teacher training courses, whether students on initial courses or teachers on in-service courses. It can be read by students at their own pace, or used by tutors as part of a study programme. The exercises, similarly, can be done alone, in study groups or in class groups with tutors. Each exercise has a rough time estimate attached to it, but if being done in class an exercise may take longer to allow for class discussion. The text is intended to be read and used by B.Ed and Certificate / Diploma of Education students and teachers in any part of the English-speaking world. Post-graduate or research students in education can also use it during particular points of their programme. The layout of the book is such that the text is integrated with the exercises in boxes - some of which have answers or relevant comments. The chapters have summary boxes at the end of each one, and each chapter begins with a quotation.
