Anotace
This book aims to provide the student with some basic modeling skills, which will have application to a wide variety of problems. Models in three different areas are considered: growth and decay process; interacting populations and heating/cooling problems. The main mathematical technique used is that of solving differential equations and the range of applications and mathematical techniques presented provides a broad appreciation of the scope of this type of modeling.
