This book discusses the recent rapid advances in diagnosis which have occurred as a result of new imaging modalities. Surgical, radiological and chemo-therapeutic treatments are still the mainstay of management but novel methods of treatment are being introduced, such as hyperthermia for certain facial and oral tumours and the targeting of cytotoxic drugs by the use of monoclonal antibodies in, for example, lymphomatous tumours of the neck and oesophagus.
