Since the target group should not consist entirely of radiologists, but emergency physicians as well, the imaging methods are integrated into the overall clinicoradiologic concept. Each chapter begins with a table listing those diseases, according to incidence, in which the symptom can occur. Emphasis is on the most important diseases, which are then discussed further, with details on clinical patterns, aetiology, classification and radiologic findings, conventional plain images, sonography, CT and special examinations (angiography, ERCP and fistulography).
