This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 14th Australian Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence, AI 2001, held in Adelaide, Australia, in December 2001.The 55 revised full papers presented together with one invited contribution were carefully reviewed and selected from a total of 100 submissions.
