This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the First IEEE/CS International Workshops on Biologically Motivated Computer Vision, BMCV 2000, held in Seoul Korea in May 2000. The 56 revised papers presented together with eight invited papers were carefully reviewed and selected from 90 full paper submissions.
