Anotace
This research investigates the effects of taxes on vital macroeconomic conditions such as fiscal balance, growth and growth stability, both short run and long run in two economies i.e. the Czech Republic and Sri Lanka. Studies that investigate the effects of tax policies on vital macroeconomic conditions for these two countries do not exist in the literature. There had been significant changes in fiscal policies in both countries in the past two decades. However, in order to make such policy changes the policy maker has to be confident in the expected outcome of the policy.
