Anotace

From an economic point of view, it is creativity, innovation and inventiveness that are considered to be the most important sources of a nation's wealth and economic growth. The economic growth is based on the number of talented people, who form the creative class. Human capital, which belongs to the creative class, is very important for a given location. It impacts the state of the whole location, helps it and the location progresses thanks to it. It follows that for the economic development of a certain location it is necessary to attract human capital belonging to the creative class. The creative industries represent a great opportunity for human capital, as it is currently considered to be the fastest growing economic segment. Its great advantage is the relatively low input to the process and it provides opportunities to exploit human potential. The aim of the monograph is to bring a comprehensive view of human capital management in the companies of the creative industries. It focuses on the qualitative and quantitative side of human capital. At the qualitative level, it is a matter of identifying competencies that are important for human capital when applying in the creative industry. The quantitative aspect examines the effects of human capital management on the costs of a creative industry enterprise. Part of the research was also to define the current state of knowledge of the issue in the field of creative industries and human capital management in business practice.
