Anotace
The conference and the publication are dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the adoption of the Convention on the Wetlands of International Importance, especially as Waterfowl Habitats, which was signed in the town of Ramsar in Iran 2nd February 1971. The Convention is indeed a global convention with important consequences even for the Czech Republic. Th ere are 172 member parties (states) with 2.502 wetlands with a total area of 257.106.360 ha (32 territories of the Czech Republic).This monograph exclusively comprises articles written in English by Czech Ph.D. students.
