Nicholas Senn

Nicholas Senn (October 31, 1844 – January 2, 1908) was a surgeon, instructor, and founder of the Association of Military Surgeons of the United States. He served as president of the American Medical Association in 1897–98.He is also known for saying, "The fate of the wounded rests with the one who applies the first dressing."He is the namesake for Senn High School in Chicago.
