Kung, was a wealthy Chinese banker and politician in the early 20th century. Together with his brother-in-law, T.V. Soong, he was highly influential in determining the economic policies of the Kuomintang (Nationalist) government in the 1930s and 1940s. He was known as the richest man in China at that time. |
